King of the Beach sounds like Nathan Williams is having way more fun than I could ever have. The album is an experimental treat that has the California sound of 60′s pop and the bratty feel of Green Day all in a crazy 36 minute masterpiece. The album has more hooks than a fishing trip with my Dad. I’ve spent the last month playing this album as loud as I can wishing I lived by a beach to surf and swim (if I knew how to swim). Move over Katie Perry and her Beach Boys law suit this is my Summer 2010 soundtrack. It just reminds me of all the things I wasn’t suppose to do on summer vacation like wake and baking, having sex and drinking your parents boose and filling up the bottles with water afterwards. Bottom line Wavves just went for it balls to the wall and made a great album. Pretty impressive for a one man band!
