James Blunt at the KCDA Studio Lounge on Wednesday, February 2nd
I think it is so wild you can’t hear James Blunt’s accent when he sings, because it stands out when he talks! I can’t get over that! Either way singing or talking he sounds lovely! Anyhow James Blunt was kind enough to stop by Spokane today!
James brought in two gentlemen with him on stage to rock guitars, cajon, tambourine and even a little keyboard action. James Blunt treated a full house to four songs, first playing “Same Mistake” which is off of “All the Lost Souls.” Then he told us we could sing along and that he didn’t mind us being his backing voice as he went into playing “You’re Beautiful.” I am pretty sure all the girls in the room were so swooning over him at this point. He had us laughing after playing “You’re Beautiful” by telling us he was going to play a happy song off his new happy album. He played for us “If Time Is All I Have” which is off “Some Kind of Trouble.” James Blunt wanted to leave us on a happy note, and ended his mini concert with “Stay the Night.” We all got to clap along and I even did a little dancing with my friend Jenny!
It was such an opportunity to see James Blunt in such an intimate space! The one thing that I took out of his mini concert was he is a passionate singer! You can really see the emotions on his face when he sings, not all artist show that. James Blunt is very talented and writes some super catchy tunes that I know we have all listened too! His new album “Some Kind of Trouble” is out now and I am thinking “Stay the Night” may just be one of my summer jams!
