Frankie Ballard on Thursday, August 29th at the KIX 96 Studios
Frankie Ballard has 17 guitars and just by watching him play one I assume he knows each one inside and out. Frankie is from Battle Creek, MI and he asked us if anyone has ever had a poptart. Most of us raised our hands and he said then you have had a piece of Battle Creek!
Frankie played “A Place to Lay Your Hear,” “When the Sun Sleeps,” “Tell Me You Get Lonely,” “All Day Long,” and “Lonely.” In between each song he was very funny and nice. The ladies were a little excited because he was 27 and single. We found out that he writes his own music and he isn’t a city boy or a country boy but a suburb boy. Some of his influences are Elvis, classic rock and blues… also Steve Miller.
He is a super talented guitar player, right before his last song he said that he would try his hardest to break a string on this one. He also has deep country vocals that together with his guitar skills it screams “Country Star”! Frankie was a treat to meet, a complete sweetheart and very talented. I know that we all will be seeing more of Frankie Ballard in the future.
