Andy Grammer at the KCDA Studios on Tuesday, October 26th
Dan from S-Curve stopped by Clear Channel today for a quick lunch and three tunes from the very talented Andy Grammer. When I found out Andy Grammer was going to be in town I googled him and found out that he has the first interactive video for his current single “Keep Your Head Up.” Three great things about this 1) interactive music video meets computer game awesomeness, 2) Great song with catchy production, you won’t be able to resist from singing along at your computer, 3) the music video has a million different options and scenes (which is cool because some have completely different actors in them.) Oh yes that’s right DWIGHT from the Office is in the video and I LOVE IT, because we are huge Office fans. So really no matter what you think you need to check out the video here.
Music video aside Andy Grammer was very charismatic and played “The Pocket,” first for us with a few super awesome beat boxing breakdowns. One thing I wrote down was he never stopped smiling and was just super vibrant and having fun. GREAT ENERGY! The second song he played for us was “Lunatic” which he wrote when he first started doing this whole music thing as a street performer on Santa Monica Blvd. He said there were a lot of crazy people out there, hence Lunatic. I couldn’t help but think how much fun it would be to sing along to the song… its super likable. The last song he played for us was “Keep Your Head Up” which you are going to love! We even got to sing along during the “oo’s and aa’s.” It was quick but memorable and I hope we hear more and more from Andy. Spread the word, this kid is lovely like sunflowers in Los Angeles.
