April Smith & the Great Picture Show on Friday, November 26th at 4,000 Holes
Matt was very excited to find out that there was going to be Black Friday Record Store Day Releases. Even more excited that Bob at 4,000 Holes was going to be getting some of the Black Friday, Record Store Day Releases. With his list in hand he couldn’t wait to see what Bob got in. Matt is more of a 45 collector than full length albums and there were actually quite a few Black Friday Record Store Day 45 Releases. He managed to pick up a blood red Slayer 45, red Bob Dylan 45, golden Ting Tings 45, a MGMT 45 with a 20 page book and on black vinyl, a Soundgarden, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers 45’s.
To celebrate the Black Friday Record Store Day Bob from 4,000 Holes also teamed up with Wayne Larson and had a 2pm mini concert with April Smith & the Great Picture Show at 4,000 Holes! It is always so cool to see live music in a record store. It’s a perfect setting. As the snow fell in Spokane April Smith & the Great Picture show played us four songs acoustically including their hit “Terrible Things” and even a little Christmas Song called “Marshmallow World” that according to April is on a great Phil Spector Christmas Album. April Smith has these killer vocals and with four gentlemen in her band there was a lot going on even acoustically. It was cool to get a little preview of what is to expect tonight for April Smith & the Great Picture Show.
April Smith & the Great Picture Show will be in town at the Bing Crosby Theater tonight and the show starts at 8pm and I would highly recommend going. Perfect concert for a Friday night, heck bring the family if they are in town. This is a show all ages would appreciate and have fun at!
