Brett Eldredge on Wednesday, September 22nd at the KIX 96 Studio Lounge
Up and coming country artist Brett Eldredge and his big heart visited the KIX 96 Studio Lounge today! He lit up the room with his smile and melted our hearts with his lyrics. Beginning Monday, September 27th Brett’s single “Raymond” will drop in Spokane Radio. I kid you not, when he sang it for us my eyes started to water. “Raymond,” is about Brett dealing with his Grandma getting Alzheimer’s disease and a friend of his who worked in a care home and his experience with the disease. The song just has these heartfelt lyrics that a lot of people can relate too. I can’t wait to hear it again, I am sure when I am not in public I will shed a few tears because it is SUCH a good song!
To pick up the spirit in the room Brett then decided to play “Night Moves” by Bob Segar. He said he is a huge fan of Segar and that this song reminds him of his youth. Even though today is the first day of fall he played a summer song of his called “Play” which made us all miss warm sunny days (even though today was pretty nice out for the first day of fall)! Brett said it’s 90 in Nashville, so he really enjoyed the break in Spokane.
Brett also played “One Mississippi” for us and per Coyote’s request a little Frank! Brett used to listen to Frank Sinatra in the car with his Grandpa and he started to sing at the age of 14, so he used to love to sing Frank. He did a very country very good, quick lil version of “Fly Me to the Moon” which was the perfect way to end the show! I look forward to hearing more from Brett, especially since I am on a huge country kick right now!
