Album Haiku: …Featuring by Norah Jones
From Dolly to Ray
Dance with Music History
Bursting with Talent
5 out of 5
Songs we can’t take off repeat; “Virginia Moon,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” “Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John,” “Here We Go Again,” “Dear John,” and “Creepin’ In.”
This album is elegant. Some songs are Norah Jones featuring… and others are featuring Norah Jones. It’s a ballet with some very talented artists that are a part of music history; Ray Charles, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Herbie Hancock, and so many more. I love that the artists go from two different extremes too like, Outkast and then the Foo Fighters. It’s such a fun album. Each song is like picking a new chocolate out of the box, you don’t know what you are going to get, they all taste different, and they are all delicious. The album still carries Norah’s rich bluesy vocals that are stunning alone or with others. If you like any of her past albums or just a song of hers, this album is worth picking up!
