Jake Owen

By Andrea Williams

Jake Owen at the Knitting Factory on Wednesday, April 14th

Check It Out Music went country last night to see Jake Owen at the Knitting Factory! The one thing I love about country music fans is that country is their way of life. They are so dedicated to the music. Jake Owen had quite the big band; he had two guitar players, a drummer, a keyboard player, a 5 string bass guitar player, and Jake himself on acoustic guitar. The stage was full and there was a lot going on. The ladies were defiantly a fan of Jake too, the second he came out all I could hear were high pitch screams!

It was cool to watch all of the people line dance, and twirl around in their cowboy boots too. It just looks like so much fun; I want to learn how to dance like that someday. Another thing was I know plaid is in right now but man I have never seen so much plaid in my life! Jake and his band played a lot of tracks off his album Easy Does It, I thought the title summed up the night. It was laid back, easy, and fun! He Kept it Country and put the Cherry On Top of our concert sundae.
