Randy Montana

Randy Montana at the KIX 96 Studio Lounge on Wednesday, November 17th

Randy Montana was in town to open for Little Big Town tonight at the Knitting Factory, and he was kind enough to stop by and play a few songs for a large crowd at the KIX 96 Studios.

Randy played acoustically for us today and had all of the ladies swept up off their feet. He first played his song “Ain’t Much Left of Lovin You” for us and a few people were singing along in the crowd. You can actually buy the song on iTunes and or watch/listen to it on his MySpace. Randy Montana then went to play “Last Horse” which is another song that will be on his debut album. “Last Horse” had a little cool piece about it because on the album, EmmyLou Harris will be doing some singing on the song as well.

Last but not least Randy played his new single for us called “1,000 Faces.” Tom Douglas helped Randy write this song and one of the songs Tom Douglas wrote called “The House That Built Me” actually won Song of the Year this year at the 2010 CMA’s. Randy was very kind and took the time to meet everyone that came to the mini concert. He seemed like a genuine kid and he can definitely sing and play the guitar.

Randy killed it on stage later that night before Little Big Town. It was cool to hear him acoustically earlier in the day and then see him with a full band later in the night. I can’t wait to hear his album when it comes out, he is talented; I am excited to see what he does and where he goes. Keep your eyes and ears out for more from Randy Montana.
