Steel Magnolia

By Jason McCollim

Steel Magnolia on Thursday, September 9th at the KIX 96 Studio Lounge

Big Machine Records have some good ears; I mean to sign Taylor Swift and to now sign Steel Magnolia. Steel Magnolia, a darling duo and couple stole our hearts at the KIX 96 Studios the day of Spokane Brad Paisley H2O World Tour date. They are on the tour and took the time to stop by the KIX 96 studio and do a little afternoon concert.

Josh & Meghan have personality, kindness, and enough soul, sass, and talent to be a killer country duo. They opened up to the room and talked about where the inspiration of their songs came from, about their relationship, and how they came up with the band name. They also played us songs including “Without You,” “Edge of Goodbye,” “Just By Being You,” “Keep On Lovin’ You,” and even a song about cooking breakfast on a Sunday morning which is one of my favorite things to do.

Their vocals blend perfectly like a smooth drink and I think a lot of people can relate to their lyrics. Meghan has so much soul too, just a powerful beautiful voice. Plus since I saw them I can’t get enough of their song “Edge of Goodbye” so catchy! Mark your calendars 1/1/11 when their new album will drop I know it’s going to be a must have in your country collection! After seeing them I checked out their MySpace and also fell in love with “Ooh La La,” you should check that one out too! Loved Josh’s sparkle Steel Magnolia Guitar Strap too!
