The Spill Canvas at the Knitting Factory on Tuesday, June 15th
“How you doing Spokane?” the Spill Canvas asked the crowd. The room hollered back. “Well you look even better then you sound” they replied. The house may have not been packed however; the people at the show were dedicated fans. Tonight there were more X’s then wristbands and I am 100% sure the crowd over powered the singer’s vocals in their opening song “Polygraph, Right Now!”
You could tell school was out and kids were looking for summer songs and a good time; they were at the right place that’s for sure. The Spill Canvas brought the drama and the energy to keep the Knitt moving for the night playing songs like “Gateway Drug” and “Our Song” off their new EP titled Realities. Solo or as a band they had some funny moments with the crowd like starting beef with Mathew McConaughey. Also some awkward moments like talking about the porn that was in their Billings, Montana dressing room. Overall the room laughed, did a lot of dancing, a lot of singing along, and had a good time for a Tuesday night in Spokane.
